Who We Are

A UK-rooted education and development organisation

EduRise for Development is an independent UK-registered non-profit advancing development through education. We strengthen education, develop leadership and support stronger communities across the United Kingdom and internationally through collaboration, innovation and locally responsive partnerships.

The United Kingdom is not simply where we are registered — it is one of the communities we actively serve. We work to reduce educational inequalities, expand access to learning, strengthen leadership and support community development at home. At the same time, we extend our expertise, partnerships and learning to communities internationally where educational opportunity is most needed and most constrained.

Advance Education

Developing evidence-informed programmes that expand access to quality learning — addressing inequalities in the United Kingdom and extending educational opportunity to underserved communities internationally.

Develop Leadership

Equipping individuals — from young people to educators and community leaders — with the skills, confidence and networks to lead positive change in their communities and institutions.

Strengthen Communities

Working in genuine partnership with communities across Wales, the United Kingdom and internationally to build local capacity, promote inclusion and support sustainable, locally owned development.

Our Story

The EduRise journey

From a founding vision to an internationally active institution — four milestones that shaped who we are today.

During this period the organisation developed programmes, partnerships, practical experience and institutional capacity while refining its long-term vision.

March 2026

A new chapter in the United Kingdom

EduRise relocated its institutional registration to the United Kingdom to establish its long-term home and expand its work internationally through a stronger governance and organisational framework.

Vision, Mission & Values

What guides our work

Our Vision

A world where quality education unlocks opportunity for every person — regardless of where they are born or the circumstances they face.

Our Mission

We deliver innovative education and leadership programmes — in partnership with communities across the UK and internationally — to advance equitable access to quality learning and lasting social change.

Integrity

We act with honesty and transparency — always.

Inclusiveness

We design for everyone. Equity and respect are non-negotiable.

Collaboration

We work with communities, not for them.

Evidence

Every decision is grounded in research and honest evaluation.

Sustainability

We build capacity and leadership that endure long after we leave.

Our Approach

How we work

Seven principles shape every programme, partnership and decision EduRise makes — whether we are working with communities across the United Kingdom or extending our learning and support internationally.

Locally Rooted

We ground our work in a genuine understanding of local context, culture and community priorities — not external assumptions or solutions imported from elsewhere.

Evidence-Informed

Every programme is designed, monitored and evaluated against clear evidence. We learn from what works, and we are honest about what does not.

Partnership-Based

Our strongest work is built with partners who bring complementary expertise, local knowledge and a shared commitment to the communities we serve.

Inclusive by Design

We design for diversity and equity from the outset — not as an afterthought. Inclusion is structural, not performative.

Youth-Centred

Young people are not passive beneficiaries. They are participants, leaders and co-designers of the programmes that serve them.

Adaptive Practice

We adapt continuously to changing circumstances — responding to community needs, emerging evidence and the realities of the contexts in which we work.

Sustainability-Focused

We invest in local capacity, systems and leadership so that our work continues to generate value long after a programme concludes.
